Claire Williamson grew up on a Sheep & Beef farm in the King Country, where she developed a deep connection to rural life and an unwavering work ethic. Now based in Waikato, Claire is an award-winning Mortgage Adviser and Director of My Mortgage, recently named Regional Mortgage Adviser of the Year at the 2024 Mortgage Awards, and 2025 KAN Awards.

In 2023, Claire released her first book, Smashed Avo to Smashed Goals, a guide to help first-home buyers navigate the property ladder with confidence. Now also available as an audiobook, her practical, no-nonsense advice has already empowered hundreds to achieve their homeownership dreams.

After scaling her team and growing My Mortgage into a thriving business, Claire is stepping into new territory, supporting clients with lending strategy and business vision. Her extensive expertise in business growth, bank policy, property investment, and relationship-building makes her a trusted guide for those ready to take their financial strategies to the next level.

A natural communicator, Claire is a sought-after MC, interviewer, and event host. She’s fronted awards ceremonies, business seminars, and her monthly “Inspire” series, where she motivates others to succeed in business. She was previously a co-host for Black Heels and Tractor Wheels, a celebrated podcast shining a light on the incredible stories of rural women in New Zealand. Claire is known for her ability to connect deeply with audiences, simplify complex ideas, and inspire confident decision-making without hype or pressure.

Beyond her business ventures, Claire is passionate about making an impact through governance. She serves on the boards of Aroha Cambridge and the Rural Communities Trust, championing initiatives that empower rural communities. She’s also the Director of Velma & Beverley, a vibrant retail brand that celebrates New Zealand wool with bold, colourful designs.

When she’s not mentoring women in business or championing rural causes, Claire helps run a small beef farm outside Cambridge with her partner Adam.
