Welcome to Episode One!
Good morning and welcome to the very first episode of Coffee with Claire.
A new little corner of the week where I get to show up as me, coffee in hand, and share a few thoughts, reflections, and updates from my world.
It’s a bit scary, and very exciting — but here we are.
This is not a polished production. It’s five minutes of real talk over coffee (mine’s a long black with cream and cinnamon. Slightly unusual, maybe like me).
Think of it like a Monday morning coffee catch-up, wherever you’re tuning in from.
A Little About Me
So, who am I?
I’m Claire, business owner, mortgage advisor, and leader of an amazing team of 15 at My Mortgage.
I’m currently building out a group of financial services businesses to wrap more value around what we offer as mortgage brokers.
Outside of work, I’m a fierce conservationist. I’m lucky enough to be involved in community projects alongside my partner, who runs a native plant nursery. It’s a joy to contribute to biodiversity and give back to the land.
I’m also that person who is wild about colour. Getting dressed each day is a creative decision, and I love expressing joy and energy through my clothes. It’s part of who I am. And increasingly, part of how people know me.
Building Community and a High Performance Life
Beyond the wardrobe and the spreadsheets, I’m a speaker, MC, event host, and passionate about building community. We run women in property events, and I love helping others grow their confidence, networks, and success.
Lately, I’ve been exploring what it really means to live a high performance life. Not just productivity for productivity’s sake, but intentional rhythms of energy, rest, and leadership. That journey’s being shaped by some incredible coaches and mentors, and I’ll be sharing more of that here over time.

This week, I’m still feeling the glow of a weekend in sunny Nelson with some amazing people! Including a very fun op shop ball (yes, you read that right — and yes, you should absolutely host one).
