It Is Never Too Late to Start. The Power of Just Getting Going

It Is Never Too Late to Start. The Power of Just Getting Going

Welcome along to Coffee with Claire.

Today I want to talk about something I hear all the time.

I should have started ten years ago.
 It is too late now.
 I have missed the window.

And I want to challenge that thinking.

What if you just got started instead of worrying that it is too late?

Start Early, But It Is Never Too Late

I often say this to clients. Start early. But it is never too late.

In money, property, and investing, starting early gives you the benefit of compounding. Your gains build on your gains. Your interest earns interest.

But compounding is not just financial. It applies to almost everything in life.

Start lifting weights and you get stronger over time.
Start building relationships and trust deepens.
Start prioritising your health and energy improves.

Yes, earlier is better. But later is still powerful.

Momentum is real.

The Only Thing That Does Not Work Is Not Starting

Often the hardest part is getting over the first hump.

You tell yourself stories.

I am too old.
 I am too behind.
 This will not work.
 People will not care.

So you stay where you are. And if you stay where you are, you get what you have always got.

I have felt this too. Especially in the last twelve months with new ideas, new ventures, new offerings. That quiet voice that says, what if this does not work?

But the only guaranteed way for something not to work is to never begin.

You Are Not Behind

I spoke to a couple recently who were approaching retirement. They said they had no real plan and maybe it was too late to change anything.

It is not.

It is almost never too late to improve your position, clarify your direction, or build momentum.

You are not behind. You are where you are. And from here, you can move forward.

The Compounding Effect of Courage

When you take one action, something shifts.

You put ten dollars a week into an investment and you see it grow.
You go to the gym once and feel slightly stronger.
You publish one post and realise people care.

Then you do it again.

That is compounding.

Small actions. Repeated. Over time.

So this week, I want you to think about the thing you have told yourself is too late.

Is it really?

Or could you take one small step toward it?

It is never too late to get started.

Have an amazing week. And enjoy your coffee.
